SPOILER WARNING
I guess this is venturing slightly into spoiler territory, but I legit started fearing for people’s lives at the end. Who says @PhilipPullman can’t kill a few important characters, with all the other crazy stuff happening.

Would be a logical next step after going from bad to worse in the later chapters. He even tricks us into forgetting about the badly hurt scholar on the train.
Also, this didn’t really happen. Only a slight bit of explanation, and not very satisfying. Hoping that @PhilipPullman closes it all out nicely in the last one. https://t.co/VddoZU5JzJ
